This morning SOLVe responded to UF’s motion to dismiss with a 3-part response asking UF’s motion be denied. The response reasserts and explains how the 8th Judicial Circuit Court does have jurisdiction on this matter under the Florida Constitution and points out that the matter at hand needs no special agency expertise since it is a clear question whose appeal to Tallahassee would be unnecessarily burdensome. In the alternative, if the Circuit Court decided it did not have jurisdiction, the response filed shows that the proper remedy would be to transfer the case to the 1st District Court of Appeal and not to dismiss it.
