Chief Judge Smith of the 8th Judicial Circuit has ruled that our case is more properly placed at the First District Court of Appeals in Tallahasee, FL. Since we filed a parallel case with the 1st DCA in March, he has dismissed the local Gainesville petition. He noted, among many other things, however, that many of UF’s assertions in their flurry of briefs were wrong and that UF’s procedure for handling issues dealing with the SG Supreme Court is “troubling.” Read it here.
