SOLVe Sues UF for Online Voting Amendment

February 22nd, 2008

Today SOLVe President Tommy Jardon and Executive Director Sam Miorelli filed suit in the Eighth Circuit Court of Florida following the UF Administration’s decision not to overrule the SG Supreme Court’s decision.  The filing is 12 pages long and we encourage you to download and read it.

To summarize, we are asking the court to prohibit the SG Supreme Court from making decisions regarding the Constitutions of the United States or the State of Florida, to order the Online Voting Amendment be placed on the ballot, to delay the upcoming Spring SG Elections until such time as this matter is resolved, and to pay our costs.

There’s still plenty to do to make online voting a reality!  We are raising funds for our legal battle with UF.  Even with pro-bono attorneys the filing and associated fees pile up.  If you can afford to donate, please use our PayPal link at the top of the page.  If you want to get involved today e-mail Sam Miorelli at s...@solveuf.com.
